Kyaukme, 7 August

The township Department of Disaster Management under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash aid and relief items to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds in Kyushaw(South) Village in Kyaukme Township, Shan State (North)yesterday. 

At the event, staff officer of the Township Department of Disaster Management U Thein Win Htut and staff handed over a total of K 243300 for purchasing rice and construction materials and six set of shelter kits and six set of family kits donated by Lashio Relief International, 15 set of latrine pans/pipes provided by Lashio UNICEF and 192 family care soaps donated by Lashio Myettta Development Foundation to victims of strong winds.

Powerful winds hit Kyushaw(South) Village in Kyaukme township on 3 August and partially damaged six houses.
