Personnel from the Township Disaster Management Department provided cash aid and relief items to victims of strong winds in Mudon Township, Mon State on a door to door basis yesterday afternoon.

Under this relief items supply grogram, 112 family members from 28 households whose homes were partially destroyed by strong wind in Taungpa Village, Kalawthaw Village and Myoma Ward-4 in the Township received a total of Ks. 905200 for purchasing rice and construction materials.

At the event, personnel from the Township Disaster Management Department shared knowledge about the risks of strong winds and then distributed pamphlets on the risks of natural disaster to attendees.

Strong wind hit Taungpa Village, Kalawthaw Village and Myoma Ward-4 in the Township on August 2-3, and partially destroyed 28 houses.—Township IPRD
