A ceremony to present relief items provided by the Myanmar Red-Cross Society to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the hall of Pyae Aye in Thabaung Township, Pathein District,  Ayeyarwady Region this morning.

 

Under this relief items supply program, 11 families whose homes were destroyed by strong winds and 11 families whose homes were flipped over by powerful winds in the Township received hygiene kit box with 20 items, 20 plastic buckets and tarpaulins each.

 

Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Min Eya Htike and member U Kyaw Toe, the Township Police Chief Major Kyaw Khaing Soe, Chairman of the Township Red-Cross Society U Ko Naing and staff attended the event.

 

The powerful winds hit Thabaung Township on 8 and 9 April this year and destroyed 11 houses and flipped over the roofs of 11 houses.—Myo Zaw Thein(Thabaung IPRD)
