RELIGIOUS objects to be fixed atop the Nay Pyi Taw’s Eternal Peace Pagoda and two Buddha Images  carved  from  marble  stones to be housed at the pa-goda were displayed in Loikaw yesterday for public obeisance.

 


The decorated vehicles car-rying the religious objects and two Buddha Images, which were stopped over in Taunggyi, Shan State, arrived in Loikaw, Kayah State, and along the way to Loik-kaw, local people donated cash for  the  Eternal  Peace  Pagoda  which is under construction in Nay Pyi Taw.

 


The religious objects were conveyed by Kayah State Chief Minister  U  L  Phaung  Sho,  Kayah  State  Hluttaw  Speaker  U Hla Htwe, Kayah State Chief Judge  U  Kyaw  Lin  Maung,  Deputy Speaker of Kayah State Hluttaw  U  Tin  Myint,  Kayah  State  Advocate-General  and  auditor  general,  members  of  the  Kayah  State  Government,  religious  associations  and  local  people  to  the  Myonan  Pagoda.

 


At night, Shweparami For-est Retreat Sayadaw Ashin San-dar Dika delivered a sermon on peace to mark the arrival of the religious objects of the Eternal Peace Pagoda in Loikaw. —Han Lin Naing (Translated by GNLM)
