MYANMAR nationals who became involved in online fraud and gambling activities in Cambodia for various reasons and subsequently reported in person to the Embassy of Myanmar to Cambodia, as well as those Myanmar nationals handed over by Cambodian police forces and relevant authorities, are being repatriated to Myanmar.
As part of these efforts, Myanmar nationals currently at the Embassy of Myanmar to Cambodia were repatriated again yesterday in the fifth batch. A total of 90 Myanmar nationals arrived back in Yangon yesterday afternoon by Tatmadaw aircraft. The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has been repatriating Myanmar nationals who were staying at the Embassy of Myanmar to Cambodia by Myanmar Airways International (MAI) and Tatmadaw aircraft. A total of 1,086 Myanmar nationals have been successfully brought back to Myanmar.
Upon arrival in Yangon yesterday, the returning Myanmar nationals were received by responsible officials from Mingaladon District and Township, along with departmental officials, who provided them with food and refreshments. They were then transported to designated assembly points in Yangon by vehicles arranged by the Yangon Region Government.
The returning Myanmar nationals from Cambodia will undergo the collection of necessary personal information and records, as well as required checks by the relevant authorities, and further procedures will be carried out in accordance with established procedures. — MNA/KZL
