Announcement on distribution of healthcare items in canvassing for 2020 Multiparty Democracy General Election under containment measures against COVID-19

1. Hluttaw candidates for parliamentary elections need to follow the directives of National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Sports, the containment measures againt COVID-19 and the Standard Operating Procedures—SOP— in their canvassing for votes during the election campaign period.

2. It is not required for them to declare the election expenses for facemasks, face shields, hand sanitizers and gloves distributed by the Hluttaw candidates or the election agents to the voters during the campaigns with the limited number of participants inside the buildings and in public areas.

3. Except distribution of such items in the above-mentioned campaigns, the Hluttaw candidates and the election agents must declare the actual expenses paid from the fund for distribution of these items in other ways of campaigns.
