Nyaungshwe, 3 October
A respect paying ceremony to retired teachers aged above 70 years old was held at No.1, Basic Education High School in Nyaungshwe Township, Southern Shan State this morning.
The ceremony was celebrated to honour the World Teacher’s Day which falls on 5 October. On the occasion, Township Education Officer U Nay Win gave a speech and those present paid respect to the retired teachers. They also presented offertories to the ex-teachers.
