Kangyidaunt, 12 November

No casualties were reported after a restaurant fire in Kangyidaung Township in Ayeyawady Region; the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The fire broke out at a restaurant belonging to a man named U Aung Htay, 40 years old from Shanywa Village, Kangyidaunt Township at around 1:45 p.m. om 10 November. The fire is attributed to have started from ember in the kitchen of the restaurant and had ceased about 35 minutes later.

The flame engulfed six homes but no one was injured in the fire. The owner of the restaurant is being questioned by the police over fire negligence.—MOHA
