A retaining wall is being built along the Myittha River near Mrauk Khinyan Village, Gangaw Township in Magway Region in the current fiscal year to prevent farmlands and houses from eroding.
The retaining wall will be 60 ft. in length, 5 ft. in width and 6 ft. in height and is under construction with Ks. 5 million of the Union Parliamentary Budget. Construction of the facility began early this year and is slated for completion in the present financial year.
Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Pyue Lwin, Regional Lawmaker U Aung San Win, and representatives from the Department of Road and the Department of Rural Development visited the construction site and discussed with site officials over timely completion of the project.—Kyaw Than Swe
