The retaining wall of Pandaw Suspension Bridge that connects Pandaw village-tract and Manhton village-tract is completed by 25 percent.
“The suspension bridge which was donated by Swiss Mr. Tony was constructed on 23 February 2012 and it was completed on 30 May 2012. The bridge is 228 feet long and 5 feet wide. The retaining wall is being constructed in order to prevent the bridge from erosion of the wall by the sea” said MP U Win Shwe of regional Hluttaw.
The construction of retaining wall which is 300 feet long, 30 feet wide is allotted K 80 million and the project is implemented on 10 February by the Department of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems in Katha District. The constructional works are being inspected by a group led by MPs of Huttaw and Pandaw village administrator on 21 March. They attended to the needs of the project and urged the officials concerned to complete the project during the deadline.
