Mandalay, December 19

 
Under the supervision of Mandalay region government, Mandalay region Disaster Risk Management Department and Plan International jointly organized a workshop on a review of regional level disaster risk work plan at Sakura hotel in central Myanmar’s Mandalay city this morning. 

First, Mandalay region Natural Resources and Enviromental Conservation Minister U Myo Thit made a speech before posing for a documentary photograph together with officials. Then, the workshop commenced and officials from governmetal departments in Mandalay region participated in the review processes. The review is designed to focus on preparatory and preventative measures, mitigation of the impact of natural disasters, emergency response and rehabilitation works in Mandalay region. 

Officials from regional level departments, officials from Plan International and INGOs and invited guests took part in the workshop.—Than Zaw Min (IPRD)
