A ceremony to provide rice to people whose homes and farmlands were damaged by flood water in August was held at the hall of the Township General Administration Department in Zigon Township, Bago Region yesterday.

At the event, the township Administrator U Win Myint clarified the purpose of donation of rice for flood victims and staff officer of the Department of Agriculture U Hla Moe gave a speech.

Afterwards, Officials from the Township’s GAD and Department Agriculture donated 42.56 tons of rice to 5447 flood victims from 1502 households in the township.—Tint Swe, IPRD
