A drawing ceremony was held for  teams  participating  in  the  Myanmar Football Federation’s Futsal  Open  Cup  2019  at  the  MFF  headquarters  in  Yangon  yesterday.

 


A total of 35 teams are tak-ing  part  in  the  tourney.  They  have  been  divided  into  eight  groups  of  four  or  five  teams  each.

 


Group  A  has  defending  champions  MIU  F.C.,  14/15  F.C.,  Strategy  First  UNI  F.C.,  and RDZ F.C.

 


The  VUC  F.C.,  Uniteam  F.C.,   Five   Tiger   F.C.,   Old   Man  F.C.,  and  the  MFF  U-19  team  have  been  placed  in  Group B.

 


Group C has On Doctor F.C., Latt Wal Thandra F.C., Winner F.C., and UM Team.

 


The  Ennoble  F.C.,  41  EXT  Again F.C., JYS F.C., Red Ghost F.C., and Winner Futsal F.C. are in Group D.

 


Meanwhile,  Myoma  YTD  F.C.,  Brotherhood  F.C.,  Do  Do  Ko  Ko  F.C.,  and  Authenthic  F.C. have been drawn in Group E.

 


Group  F  has  GV  Athletic  F.C., Shwe Pyi Thar F.C., Futsal Chitthu  F.C.,  and  Kamayut  Futsal F.C.

 


Group  E  features  AMM  F.C., Team Tiger F.C., BTT F.C., and Union Stars F.C.

 


Shwe  Myawady  F.C.,  My-oma  YTD  Youth  F.C.,  Dream  Team  F.C.,  White  Colour  F.C.,  and MIU Legend F.C. have been placed in Group H.

 


The tourney, which will be held at the National Indoor Sta-dium I, starts 11 May, according to the organizer of the tourna-ment.

 


The  group  stage  of  the  tourney  will  be  held  in  the  round-robin  format.  The  two  best  teams  from  each  group  will be selected for the second, or knockout, stage.

 


The  winning  team  will  get  K5  million  and  a  chance  to  enter  the  AFF  Futsal  Clubs  Championship 2020, the second placed  team  will  be  awarded  K3  million,  the  third  placed  team  will  be  given  K2  million,  and  the  fourth  placed  team  will  get  K1  million  accord-ing  to  the  Myanmar  Football  Federation.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
