Irrawaddy riverbank measuring 300 ft. in length and 50 ft. in width was collapsed due to riverbank erosion in Kywethaung Village in Maubin Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region this morning.
Eight households in Kywethaung Village in Maubin Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region were relocated to safer places due to the danger of Irrawaddy riverbank erosion.
Family members from eight households in the village are currently taking shelter in the homes of their relatives. Victims of riverbank erosion are provided with necessary assistance by members of village Administration Body.—District IPRD
