Three persons including a child lost their lives and four others including two women sustained injuries as their car plunged into a ravine outside Badakhshan's provincial capital Faizabad on Sunday night, provincial head of the Information and Culture Department Maazurdin Ahmadi said Monday.

The deadly road accident took place due to bad condition of the road and reckless driving, the official said, adding the injured commuters have been taken to a hospital.

A similar accident in Khinjan district of the northern Baghlan province claimed three lives and injured 12 others on Saturday.
