Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Mr Kim Gunn, together with his delegation members, visited the headquarters of Medical Research Department in Yangon yesterday morning.
Deputy Minister for Health and Sports Dr Mya Lay Sein extended her greetings via videoconferencing from Nay Pyi Taw.
The Deputy Minister of ROK explained the donation of hospital equipment and future cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Minister, ROK Ambassador Mr Lee Sang-hwa and Chief Representative of KOICA Myanmar Office Ms Lee Youn Soo handed over three units of hospital waste management equipment worth about US$700,000.
They also visited Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein at his office and discussed Korea-Myanmar Friendship Bridge project (Dala), industrial project of the two countries and the Dala New City project and bilateral cooperation in business and investment sectors.
