The Paegone Creek Bridge that links Pandaw and Pathat village in Bamauk Township, Sagaing Region is being constructed.
The bridge is located on the Bamauk-Lae-U road, and local people are in trouble to pass on it in the rainy season due to flooding. The bridge will be 80 feet long and 20 feet wide.
In this regard, Sagaing region government furnish eight 40-foot long iron frame and 400 bags of cement as well K 2 million out of the Bamauk Pyidaungsu Hluttaw were provided for this project, said MP U Win Shwe of No-1 Constituency of the region.
The bridge is estimated to cost K 18 million, in which to be shared by the public. Upon completion, it will bring about socioeconomic development of the region and public safety, said U Mone Shwe, Pandaw village administrator.
