A Bailey bridge crossing the Namtkham Creek and linking two village tracts is under construction in Bamauk Township, Sagaing Region.
Construction of the 60 ft. long, 13 ft. wide and 10 ft. high started on 15 January this year on a self-reliant basis and is expected to be finished soon. The bridge is being built with over Ks. 100 million donated by local businessmen and residents and will be 4th of its kind in the area.
“Construction of this bridge is expected to finalize late March. This will be 4th of its kind in Manin Village-tract. I would like to express thanks to gold entrepreneurs and local people for their contributions,” said U Thein Zaw, the village-tract administrator.
Upon completion of the bridge, local people will be able to use the new bridge in all seasons with greater ease.—Hlaing Bwar
