A wooden bridge near Ahtet Thaphandaunt Village, Katha Township in Sagaing Region has been hundred percent finished.

The bridge was built by the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation with a view to facilitating road transportation of rural people. The structure is among the four bridges—three wooden bridges and one reinforced concrete bridge— constructed by the DRD under its Village Development Plan in the fiscal year 2018-2019. It was built with Ks. 13 million in which Ks. 3 million was contributed by local people and Ks. 100 was funded by the VDP under the close supervision of the DRD and the VDP implementation committee.

The bridge is 100 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and 9 ft. high and connects an entrance to the village and Kyaukhtongyi-Inndarant Road.—Han Myo Kyaw (Katha)
