The Department of Rural Development implemented some rural development tasks in three villages in Sedoktaya Township, Magway Region under its “Village Development Plan” in the fiscal year and the projects have been cent per cent completed.

The DRD carried out rural development tasks such as installation of rural electricity facility, construction of concrete road, gravel road and bridges in three villages in the township at a cost of Ks. 46.4 million in which Ks. 30 million was funded by the department while Ks. 16.4 million was contributed by local people. Aforesaid tasks have been cent per cent finished, said an official from the DRD.

The development tasks are expected to improve socioeconomic status of 820 residents from 157 households from the villages in education, health and social sectors.—Soe Moe Kyaw
