A ceremony to inaugurate a retaining wall and a steam water fetching system was held in KyaukOh Village, Pinlebu Township in Sagaing Region yesterday morning.

The retaining wall and steam water fetching system were opened by the Lower House MP U Min Naung, regional lawmaker U Than Hlaing, an official from the Department of Rural Development and Chairman of the township management committee U Khaing Lin Naing by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. After that, the Lower House legislator gave an opening speech and the DRD official explained matters relating to the facilities. A local also spoke words of thanks.

KyaukOh Village consists of 73 houses. The retaining wall was built with Ks. 14.7 million in which Ks. 10 million was allotted under the Village Development Plan and Ks. 4.7 million was donated by residents in the financial year 2018-2019. The steam water fetching system was implemented by using Ks. 13.85 million of the VDP in the fiscal year 2017-2018.—Myo Lwin (Pinlebu)
