A group of local authorities led by the chairman of the township management committee made an inspection tour to construction of Phayargyigon-Magyi Chaung-Kyargaret road and a bridge in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

The new bridge under construction is of a reinforced concrete facility and has 100 ft. in length, 20 ft. in width and its water clearance is 6 ft. Construction of the bridge began on 18 February and is slated for completion in May this year, said an official from the Department of Rural Development.

The facility is being built with almost Ks. 278 million of the Union Budget and will link two villages in two village-tracts in the township.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
