An inauguration ceremony of rural electrification facilities was held in Narlin village, Monganai Township, Langkho District, Shan State (South) yesterday.
The occasion was attended by officials from Township Electricity Supply Enterprise and Township Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics and community leaders.
Under the National Electrification Project (NEP), a 100 KVA transformer was implemented and the installation of 400 V transmission line was conducted with K 43 million allocated by funds of Shan State Government. The electricity was distributed in the village starting from 6 November and it will bring socioeconomic development of over 150 local residents. In Mongnai Township, the rural electrification projects are being undertaken in 11 villages under the NEP.
