An inauguration of a rural electrification structure was held in conjunction with an event to open an earthen road in Bahout Village, Pinlebu Township in Sagaing Region yesterday morning.
The rural electrification facility and earthen road were formally opened by Regional Lawmakers U Than Hlaing Gyi and U Than Hlaing Lay, Assistant Township Administrator U Yan Khaing Soe, an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise, the village administrator and the chairman of village electrification committee by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. Next, the regional MPs and the assistant township administrator delivered speeches and the official from ESE disseminated knowledge about the risks of electricity.

The electrification facility and the rural road measuring 2 mile in length, 30 ft. in width would help local people improve their socioeconomic status. In addition, local people no longer need to worry about road transportation. Electricity has been supplied to local people from 81 villages in the township round the clock so far.
The rural electrification structure was built under the phase-1 of National Electrification Plan (NPE) while the rural road was developed by the Border Areas and National Races Development Department under the Ministry of Border Affairs.—Myo Lwin (Pinlebu)
