The Chief Minister of Bago Region U Win Thein attended an inauguration of a rural electrification structure in Shanywa Village, Taungoo Township this morning.
First, the electrification facility was formally opened by the chief minister, an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise, the Lower House MP U Khin Maung Than, Township Administrator U Tun Tun Win, and chairman of the village electrification committee U Khin Maung Latt by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. Next, the chief minister delivered an address, the ESE official shared knowledge about the risks of electricity and the chairman of village electrification committee expressed words of gratitude.
A sub-power station was built with Ks. 49.8 million of financial assistance funded under the National Electrification Plan (NPE) since August this year. An electrification facility was installed in Shanywa Village at a cost of around Ks. 16 million. Out of 97 villages covered by the NPE, 25 villages have been facilitated with electricity so far.—Tin Soe (Bago)
