A ceremony to open a rural healthcare center was held in Kyaukswal Village, Saw Township in Magway Region on 23 February.
First, those present received the Paritta from an abbot of the village’s monastery. Next, Regional Lawmaker U Htin Lin, Deputy Township Administrator U Aung Moe, Medical Superintendent Dr. Myat Lay Pan, a village administrator and concerned officials formally launched the rural healthcare facility by sprinkling scented water on the stone inscription. Afterwards, the township medical officer and staff shared knowledge about health and provided free healthcare services to 30 rural people.
Also present at the event were members of Sangha led by the abbot of the village’s monastery, staff from the Department of Health, and local people.—Zaw Myo Thant (Saw)
