A launching and handing over ceremony of a rural healthcare center was held in Rakhadipa Village, Ngazun Township in Mandalay Region on Sunday morning.
Firstly, Speaker of Mandalay Regional parliament U Aung Kyaw Oo and Township Medical Superintendent Dr. Tun Tun Soe cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the rural healthcare facility. Next, the regional parliament speaker, his wife and concerned officials sprinkled scented water on stone plaque of the structure. Afterwards, the village in-charge handed over documents relating to the healthcare center to the township medical superintendent.
“The healthcare center is 30 ft. long, 32 ft. wide and 12 ft. high. It was built with more than Ks. 20 million contributed by local people on a land plot measuring 120 in length and 148 ft. in width. We also dug a well and constructed a brick wall and an archway in the compound of the healthcare facility,” said a member from the rural healthcare center construction committee.
The ceremony was also attended by Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Min Thein, regional lawmaker Daw The Su Wai, Township Administrator U Zaw Win, social organization members and local people.—Thet Naung Oo (Ngazun)
