The Department for Development of Border Areas and National Races under the Ministry of Border Affair is undertaking construction of rural roads and bridges that support socioeconomic development of rural areas.
According to Hlaingbwe Township Development Supervising Committee’s office, the Department for Development of Border Areas and National Races is constructing Mikyaung-Hpaei-Thamo-Yawhta-Takaralne-Htipa-Wamekala-Tayeehpokhee-Shanywathit rural road in Hlaingbwe Township in 2020-2021 FY. The dirt road which is 3 miles long is being built with K 113.25 million allocated by funds of Union. Then, the construction of 15 box culverts on the dirt road is being conducted with K 69.318 million, funds of Union.
The construction of the dirt road and box culverts is being conducted by Lin Ngwe Yaung Construction Company starting from November 29. MP U Khin Cho of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Saw Chit Oo of Amyotha Hluttaw, Township Administrator U Min Thein and departmental officials inspected the construction sites yesterday. They then urged the responsible people to meet the set standard within the target date.
Upon completion, it will bring safe and convenient transportation to a total of 10286 people from 1946 households in 26 villages in the township.
