A two-mile long rural road is being built by the Border Areas and National Races Development Department under the Ministry of Border Affairs in Shan Ywathit Town, Kayin State.
The earthen type facility is under construction at a cost of more than Ks 73 million allocated in the current fiscal year. Once completed, the new road will benefit 188 households from 142 homes in Melthamue Village, thereby contributing to improving economic, social, health and education of the locals.
The department will also build one concrete bridge and two box culverts in the village-tract by spending over Ks 60 million in the incumbent financial year.
