With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, rural road and bridge have been implemented in Sonehein Village in Namhsan Township, the Palaung Self-Administered Zone in Shan State (North) since the third week of June this year, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.
The rural road measuring three miles in length and a bridge on the road are being constructed by a private tender winning company with over Ks. 142 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2022-2023 FY, according to staff officer of the Township DRD U Zaw Min Tun.
Once completed, the road and bridge will benefit over 3000 acres of farmland of 538 rural people from 106 households in the village, helping them to transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Than Lwin(Magway)
