A ceremony to inaugurate a rural road was held at a religious building in Yadanarbon Village, Yatsauk Township in Southern Shan State this morning.

 

The new road was formally opened by Shan State lawmaker U Khaing Nyi Nyi Kyaw, an official from the Department of Rural Development, the chairperson of the township NLD and the chairman of road construction committee. The regional lawmaker and the DRD official then gave speeches.

 

The road is 2,600 ft. long, 10 ft. wide and 9 inch thick and was built with Ks. 21.2 million contributed by the government and local people. It was implemented by the DRD under its VDP scheme in the fiscal year 2018-2019.
