Construction of a water tank capable of storing 2,400 gallons of water and installation of a water pipeline in Zeetawlay Village, Ngaphe Township in Magway Region have been about 60 percent finished, according to a source from the Department of Rural Development.

The village consists of 116 households with 446 people. The water tank and the water pipeline measuring 4,468 ft. are being built with more than Ks. 10 million funded by the DRD in the fiscal year 2019-2020 and contributed by local people. The project is being carried out under the close supervision of the DRD for timely completion and meeting the set standard.

“12 villages including Zeetawlay Village have been selected to implement the Village Development Plan (VDP) and provided Ks. 10 million each, said an official from the DRD.—Thurein (Minbu)
