Taungdwingyi 30 January

An inspection on rural water supply projects in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region was conducted by officials from Magway District Department of Rural Development yesterday morning.

With the aim of ensuring the access of drinking water at all seasons in the township, rural water supply projects were implemented with the funds allocated by the Department of Rural Development in three villages in 2019-2020 FY.

Rural water supply projects such as digging wells with 700-foot in depth and constructions of water plant and water tank capable of storing 5000 gallons of water were inspected. The officials urged the responsible people who supervised the project to meet the project in a target date.

Upon completion, over 3000 local people from 570 households in the township can access clean groundwater at all seasons.
