Water supply tasks are being undertaken by the Department of Rural Development in rural areas in Aunglan Township, Magway Region.
The DRD is digging up tube-wells, constructing water tankers, water treatment facilities, and building brick tanks and earthen ponds in Myaynigon, Nipar Taunggon, Malaetha, and Thanbogyi Villages by spending Ks. 54.92 million of the allotted funds and the projects have been about 86 percent finished.
Once completed, more than 1,500 local residents from the four villages will be able to use clean water in a sufficient manner, said an official from the DRD.—Thurein (Minbu)
