CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief, yesterday morning, inspected medical treatment provided for civilians, service personnel, Tatmadaw members and families who sustained in­juries in the earthquake at the Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward of the Defence Services General Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The Senior General cordial­ly met the patients individually and asked about the conditions of injuries and the progress of health conditions. He also comforted and presented cash awards to them. The Senior Gen­eral instructed the Director of Medical Services and officials to constantly monitor the health conditions of the patients to pro­vide necessary treatment and arrange for them to have conven­ient accommodation, food and administrative measures.

 

The Defence Services Gen­eral Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw provided necessary medical treatment to some 600 patients including civilians, State service personnel, Tatmadaw members and families who sustained inju­ries in the earthquake and man­aged emergency surgical opera­tions on 30 persons. At present, the hospital admits 42 injured civilians, State service person­nel, Tatmadaw members and families with necessary health­care services. — MNA/TTA
