THE Myanmar high-level delegation led by Chair­man of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Wing 6 of Don Mueang Air­port by a special plane at 9 pm Thai Standard Time after attend­ing the Sixth BIMSTEC Summit held in Thailand. They were seen off at the airport by Thai Minister of Labour Mr Phiphat Ratchakit­prakan, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Zaw Zaw Soe and officials.

 

The Myanmar delegation arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport at 10 pm yesterday. The Senior Gener­al was welcomed back by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the Council Secretary, council members, Union min­isters, the Chief of the Gener­al Staff (Army, Navy and Air), senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump and officials.

 

Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Min­isters U Than Swe and Admiral Moe Aung, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, and military and ci­vilian officials who accompanied the Senior General also arrived back on the same flight.

 

During the trip, the Senior General attended the Sixth BIM­STEC Summit, holding meetings with Heads of Government from the BIMSTEC Member States and talking about the situations based on the impacts of the powerful earthquake Myanmar faces, and the potential for co­operation with the international community in effectively carry­ing out rescue, relief and reha­bilitation measures, and friendly relations. — MNA/TTA
