Chairman of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla paid homage to Inlay PhaungdawOo Pagoda in Nyaungshwe Town­ship of Shan State (South) yes­terday.

 

The Senior General and his wife presented cash to the all-round development fund of the pagoda to the chairman of the pagoda board of trustees who returned Dhamma gifts.

 

The Senior General and par­ty also paid homage to Phaung­dawOo Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vi­jaya at Sein and Mya (Diamond and Emerald) monastery in the precinct of the Pagoda and do­nated offerings and cash for nine prerequisites . They then asked about the health conditions of Sayadaw and the sustainability of the pagoda and sought advice from Sayadaw.

 

After observing the region­al handicrafts and traditional costume stalls, the Senior Gen­eral instructed the officials to provide technical assistance to produce better regional prod­ucts, arrangements to ensure One Village One Product scheme and conduct preparations for peaceful and convenient visits of local and foreign travellers in the coming summer holidays.

 

Then, the Senior General and party went round Inlay Lake by motor schooner to see the regional development and envi­ronmental conservation of Inlay region. — MNA/KTZH
