Chairman of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minis­ter Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday morning paid homage to ancient Mwedaw Kakku Pagoda in Taunggyi Township of Shan State (South).

 

The Senior General pre­sented cash to the all-round development fund of the pagoda to the pagoda board of trustees chair U Khun Kyaw Hsan and officials.

 

The Senior General cordial­ly greeted the local pilgrims and left instructions on the system­atic maintenance of the pagoda for long-term existence, and beautifying tasks.

 

Yesterday evening, the Sen­ior General, his wife and party paid homage to Shwephonep­wint Pagoda in Taunggyi and offered flowers, water and oil lights to the pagoda.

 

After enjoying the natural beauties of Taunggyi from the viewpoint of the pagoda, the Senior General instructed of­ficials to conserve natural re­sources in Taunggyi.

 

The Senior General and his wife donated cash to the fund of the pagoda through the pagoda board of trustees. — MNA/TTA
