 CHAIRMAN of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minis­ter Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by member of the House of Representatives Mr Hiromichi Watanabe of the Liberal Dem­ocratic Party of Japan at the parlour of the office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yes­terday afternoon.

 

They exchanged views on plans of Japan to grow cherry plants in the Maravijaya Bud­dha Park where the Maravijaya Buddha Image which would be the largest in the world will be located for enhancing the Ja­pan-Myanmar friendly relations, political progress of Myanmar, promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation, further coop­eration in economic and invest­ment sectors, spreading of false information regarding Myan­mar’s political situation among foreign countries, and need for people in Japan to know the true situations.

 

Also present at the meet­ing were Joint Secretary of the Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Un­ion ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, U Aung Naing Oo and U Ko Ko Hlaing, and officials. The Japanese delegation was accom­panied by Japan-Myanmar Cul­tural Enhancement Association Chairman Mr Fumio Usui and officials.

 

After the meeting, the Sen­ior General and the member of the House of Representatives of Japan exchanged gifts and posed for documentary photos. — MNA
