The 74th Anniversary of Pa-O National Day ceremony was held yesterday morning at Pa-O National All-round De­velopment Ground in Kangyi Ward of Taunggyi.

 

At the ceremony, the Pa-O people conveyed the Pa-O na­tional flag and hoisted the flag and saluted.

 

Next, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye said that Pa-O National Day is cel­ebrated every year until today for the 74th anniversary. Pa-O National Day is not an ordinary celebration but a significant day with essence, he said.

 

Under the guidance of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body, regional devel­opment and social welfare de­velopment activities are being carried out in a rapid pace, and the Pa-O ethnic people are enjoying the fruits of peace and development, he continued.

 

He said that the national brethren of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar live in unity among all ethnicities, practice and maintain their religious customs, and therefore the cultural heritages and tradi­tions of all ethnicities must be preserved and protected by all ethnicities.

 

After that, the message sent by U Aung Hkam Hti was read by U Khun Min Kyaw, the vice chairman of Pa-O Liter­ary and Culture Association, and Shan State Chief Minis­ter U Aung Zaw Aye donated K10 million for the 74th anni­versary of Pa-O National Day Festival from the Shan State Government, and Chairman of the organizing committee, U Khun Win Ko, accepted and expressed his gratitude.
