THE dinner event commem­orating the 115th anniversary of the establishment of the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCOC) took place at Lotte Hotel in Yangon yesterday.

 

It was attended by State Administration Council Mem­ber General Nyo Saw, on be­half of SAC Chairman Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Min­ister and Union Minister U Win Shein, Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, Dr Charlie Than and U Tun Ohn, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Lim­ited Chairman Lt-Gen Hsan Oo, Deputy Minister Dr Wah Wah Maung, regional minis­ters, the Chinese Ambassa­dor to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia, the Chinese Consul-General, MCCOC President U Aing Tun, senior vice-president, patrons and invitees.

 

Attendees first viewed the displayed photos depict­ing the MCCOC history, and SAC Member General Nyo Saw posed for a documentary photo together with the attendees.

 

The ceremony opened with the Myanmar National Anthem. They then watched the video clip of MCCOC. SAC Member General Nyo Saw made a speech on behalf of the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister, and the Chinese Am­bassador also gave a speech. They all had dinner together.

 

The Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce presi­dent donated cash for Yangon General Hospital, Yangon Chil­dren’s Hospital and Waibargi Hospital under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Ministry of Health, and the relevant of­ficials accepted the cash do­nation.

 

Afterwards, SAC Member General Nyo Saw, the Chinese ambassador and the MCCOC president cut the ceremonial cake. The dinner event fea­tured Myanmar-China friend­ship songs and group dances. — MNA/KTZH
