Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Mr Martin Schuepp, Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They frankly discussed humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons, effective measures to provide ICRC’s aid to those who require aid and the resumption of temporarily suspended prison visits due to COVID-19 for inmates and their families.
Also present at the meeting were Union Ministers Lt- Gen Soe Htut, Dr Thet Khaing Win and Dr Thet Thet Khine, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Aung Linn Tun, ICRC Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Ms Christine Cipolla and ICRC Resident Representative Ms Elean Ajmone Sessera. —MNA/KTZH
