A truck loaded with illegal sawn Tamalan was seized near Kankon village, Pinlebu township, Katha district, Sagaing region.

A continent led by Staff Officer of Pinlebu Township Forest Department U Thaw Maw Khant, acting on information, intercepted and searched a six-wheel truck near Kankon village in the township, and seized 39 blocks of sawn Tamalan weighing 7.15 tons, which are transported illegally.

Action is being taken against those who got involved in the trafficking and the authorities are the process of exposing the driver and owner of the timber.—Lu Aung (Katha)
