A ceremony to hand over a new school building in Basic Education High School in Pharmon village in Taunggyi Township, Taunggyi District, Shan State (South) was held in front of the building this morning.

At the ceremony, MP U Khun Thura Aung of Shan State Hluttaw, officials from the Progress of Border Areas and National Races Development, State Education Officer’s Office, Deputy Township Administrator, Chairman of Pa’O National Organization (PNO) and Division Director from Japan Nippon Foundation formally cut the ceremonial ribbon and planted a memorial tree in front of the new building.

At the ceremony, the officials respectively gave remarks and Division Director from the Japan Nippon Foundation handed over proper documents relating to the new school building to the Township Education Officer. On behalf of local residents, a member of school building construction committee U Khun Kyaw Thein spoke words of thanks to the officials. Sai Than Kyaw (Taunggyi)
