Kya-in Seikgyi, 23 January

With the collaborative efforts of Agriculture Department and Basic Education Department, Agriculture staff from the township Agriculture Department and teachers from respective schools have started to plant vegetable gardens in five Basic Education Schools in Kya-in Seikgyi township.

The vegetable gardens are being set up with the assistance from Greater Mekong Sub-region Agriculture and Education Development Center( GMSAED). 

The scheme aims to help primary students to understand agriculture good practices, self-production processes of vegetables fit for human consumption, and to gain basic knowledge of agriculture.—Myo Min Oo (IPRD)
