A school upgrading ceremony took place at No.2 Basic Education High School (branch) in Nawnkhio, Northern Shan State yesterday morning.
    

The signboard of the upgraded school was formally opened by Deputy Director from the Department of Education U Win Maung, Deputy Township Administrator U Nay Lin Aung, Kyaukme District Education Officer Daw Cho Ngwe Oo, Township Education Officer Daw Mie Mie Kyaw, Headmistress Daw Pyone Kyi and a ward administrator by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.
    

Next, the headmistress spoke words of thanks and the students entertained the audiences with songs and dance.—IPRD
