Letpadan, 11 August

A school upgrading ceremony was held in Nyaungwaing Village, Letpadan Township in Bago Region this morning.

First, the upgraded school was formally opened by the Lower House MP U Kyaw Min, Assistant Director of the Department of Education U Win Hlaing, Township Administrator U Thura Tun Lin and Township Education Officer Daw Aye Than. Next, speeches by the lawmaker and concerned officials followed.

Afterwards, Headmistress Daw Thet Thet Khaing presented souvenirs marking the school upgrading ceremony and village elders spoke words of thanks. Students also performed entertainments to the audiences.—Wint Nandar Htay
