UNION Minister for Science and Tech­nology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, who is cur­rently in Nizhny Novgorod, the Russian Federation, visited the exhibition booths displayed at the Digitalization of Industri­al Russia 2026 Forum yesterday evening.

 

At the booths, Russian technology companies showcased the use of artificial intelligence technologies, bioinformatics technologies, and cybersecurity tech­nologies across various socioeconomic sectors, efforts to manufacture commu­nication equipment and related devices domestically, and attempts to produce related applications and equipment within Russia. The use of Digital Twin technology in Moscow’s urban management and the application of bioinformatics technologies across multiple sectors were displayed.

 

The Union minister also observed the independent operating systems free from foreign reliance, cybersecurity and data management applications, techno­logical devices, and software at Astra Group’s booth.

 

During the discussion with Astra Group, the Union minister discussed technical assistance and support for Myanmar to independently develop op­erating systems and software, human resource development, and the signing of an MoU between Moscow Technical University of Communications and In­formatics (MTUCI) and Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University (NSPU) for human resource development and implementa­tion of technological research. — MNA/ KTZH
