Asterisk marked question raised by Dr Win Myint of Bago Region constituency 11 on plan to broadcast a new health & sport channel was answered by Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun. Asterisk marked questions raised by Dr U Kywe Kywe of Mandalay Region constituency 6 on emergency response by Myanmar Police Force arranged for emergency 199 calls, U Kyaw Ni Naing of Shan State constituency 11 on a plan to assign a modern fire fighting vehicle to Shan State Kokang Self-Administered Zone Laukkai Township and Naw Hla Hla Soe of Yangon Region constituency 10 on arrangements made to reduce crime and for rule of law in Insein and Mingaladon townships were answered by Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Maj-Gen Aung Thu.
Receipt of three bills amending three election laws
Next, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than informed the Hluttaw of the receipt of bill amending Pyithu Hluttaw Election Law for the fifth time, bill amending Amyotha Hluttaw Election Law for the fifth time and bill amending State/ Region Hluttaw Election Law for the fifth time returned with amendments by Pyithu Hluttaw and announced for Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the bills to register their names.
Hluttaw approve Vehicle Safety and Management Bill
Following this, Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee member reread and explained the committee’s report on Vehicle Safety and Management Bill. Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker then obtained the decision of the Hluttaw on the bill clause by clause and approves it.
Later Deputy Minister for Transport and Communication U Kyaw Myo tabled a motion for the Hluttaw to approve the bill as amended. The motion was supported by U Ko Ko Naing of Sagaing Region constituency 8. As there was no objection when Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker obtained the decision of the Hluttaw to approve the motion, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker announced the Vehicle Safety and Management Bill approved as amended.
Hluttaw discuss motion on allocating unused state-own property
Afterwards U Sa Khin Zaw Lin of Ayeyawady Region constituency 2, Dr Tin Tin Win of Bago Region constituency 5, U Nyi Nyi Htwe (a) U Ko Ko Lay of Sagaing Region constituency 11 and Dr Kyaw Than Tun (Canton) of Mandalay Region constituency 3 discussed a motion tabled by U Ko Ko Naing of Sagaing Region constituency 8 urging the Union government to allocate unused state-own property for addressing shortage of city land in establishing public recreation places.
Hluttaw approve a committee report
Amyotha Hluttaw construction, industry, electricity and energy committee report for the committee’s work from 21 March 2018 to the end of Second Amyotha Hluttaw 13th regular session was discussed by Tatmadaw Hluttaw representative Colonel Zaw Lwin and U Shayrel Shu Maung of Kayah State constituency 2 as a final agenda of the day. Committee Chairman U Saw Moe Myint (a) Samuel then tabled a motion for the Hluttaw to accept and approve the report. As there was no objection Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker announced the Hluttaw’s approval of the report.
