Students sat for the second day of the 2026 Matriculation Examination (English subject) and the Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock Matriculation Examinations (English, Crop Production (1) and Poultry Production subjects) at five examination centres in Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, at 9 am today.
A total of 1,944 students registered for the 2026 matriculation examination in the township. Of them, 1,849 students — 821 boys and 1,028 girls — sat for the second day of the examinations at the designated centres, achieving an attendance rate of 95.11 per cent, according to the Township Education Office.
Under the leadership of the Township Management and Administrative Committee, teachers, departmental officials, ward and village administrators, health workers, police officers and firefighters visited the examination centres to inspect security arrangements and ensure that the examinations were conducted smoothly.— Aung Ko (Pobbathiri)
